A busy and Fruitful May

May my birthday month, a time of real happenings plans and change.

Over the last 3 years my print work has been carried out at

I have no doubt that without this skilled teacher I would not have been working in printmaking

Studio. Not forgetting Allesandra, Allison, Pauline, Bel, Sue, Mel and all the other band of merry hard working printmakers

Then , the long awaited Drawing Breath ,retreat which brought together Meditation and Drawing for me in a completely new way. Starting the day with meditation and then moving forward into some form of related drawing at lovely Villa Pia in Umbria. Booked over 2 years ago before the pandemic, led by Professor of drawing Tania Kovats and Jane Sasanie leading the meditation element. Such an amazing week, and meeting lovely compatriot artists from different realms

The one element but the ongoing breathing and drawing at Villa Pia was the inspiration for me.

So I shall keep Drawing? Yes!

Then a short time back in where has become my home in Fabulous Frome , looking amongst other things at where I am going to continue Etching and printing now that Sandra has retired from teaching.

Ill say more on a later blog when I’m settled on that now the choice is made.

Then back to my previous life with much anticipated time at Hay literature festival with Brummie friends Jean and Sue

As ever with Hay so much to tell but Susan Ogilvy on Nests, international Booker prize-winner

Geetanji Shree and her translator Kitty Rockwell, a meditational element again

Not forgetting Ed Balls on his culinary life!

and now Jubilee time! and the news I' ve had a print accepted for Wells Contemporary a day's guest exhibition June 25th Yew Trees Artist Studios, Bevere Gallery, Bevere Lane, Worcester, WR3 7RQ
